If you are aged 50 or over*, all you need do to register for SeniorSitters Free Membership is complete a simple online registration form with personal and contact details.

You will then be able to browse housesitting opportunities on our affiliated website, HouseCarers.com, although you will need to register on the site and pay for access to Homeowners.

However, your membership of
SeniorSitters will entitle you to discounted rates on this site.

When you consider the cost of even the cheapest accommodation, housesitting offers incredible value, as well as flexibility and the opportunity to holiday, free of charge, all over
Australia, New Zealand and a host of other countries.

"For a small outlay, housesitting enables the housesitter to go virtually anywhere.

"In the last year, I have looked after houses in Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and the Gold Coast .

"My next sit is in rural Victoria, where I’ll be for two months, followed by six weeks in Melbourne. After that, who knows?

"One thing is for sure, as a lifestyle it’s hard to beat, yet it doesn’t break the bank and I cannot imagine any other way for a pensioner to see so much of the country.”

                                                              - RG, Queensland

When you see a suitable opportunity advertised on the website of your choice, you contact the owner by Email, with a brief message introducing yourself and explaining why you think you would be suitable.

It’s then up to the owner to contact you and take the transaction further. Neither SeniorSitters nor our affiliates play any role in vetting would-be sitters and we make it clear to owners that selection is a matter entirely of their own judgement. (A Questions & Answers page with useful hints to both owners and sitters is also on the website.)

We strongly recommend that sitters equip themselves with verifiable references and also a National Police Certificate, which is available through your state or territory police service at nominal cost. To help sitters we have produced a list of practical hints on many aspects of housesitting and marketing yourself to owners.

House Sitting is great fun – we speak from experience – and we recommend that Homeowners join the ranks of those happy and contented people who spend part of the year as Housesitters.

So, why not register now for Free Membership of SeniorSitters?
